In the vast majority of situations, overseas students in Austria do not apply for work permits on their own. Instead, your potential employer will submit your application on your behalf. With a student work permit, you can only work during the hours that you are enrolled at a recognized university. Working up to 20 hours a week as a Master’s student is mostly approved.
Note: They must apply to the competent residence authorities for confirmation (MA 35). Students in this category must submit their documents before the student visa expires.
